Why Interns Love Training at MCCC
A team-based clinical environment without bureaucracy
At MCCC, interns are part of a collaborative team rather than working in isolation. We take a systems-oriented approach to care, and it is common for multiple clinicians to work with different members of the same family system. This model supports better outcomes for clients and provides interns with a richer, more connected learning experience.
Strong supervision, mentorship, and support
We are deeply invested in the growth and development of our interns. You will receive consistent supervision and have access to experienced clinicians for guidance and support. Whether navigating complex cases or building foundational clinical skills, our clinicians support you throughout the training process. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in group supervision sessions that align with your interests.
Meaningful clinical experience with appropriate support
Interns gain hands-on experience providing individual therapy and co-facilitating groups. We prioritize thoughtful case assignments and support interns as they build competence and confidence over the course of the year.
A practice grounded in inclusion and social justice
MCCC is committed to equity, inclusion, and social justice in both our clinical work and organizational culture. We welcome interns of all identities and backgrounds and strive to create a learning environment rooted in respect, cultural humility, and accountability.
A welcoming, comfortable clinical space
Our offices are fully furnished, filled with natural light, and designed to feel warm and inviting rather than clinical. Interns work in a professional environment that reflects the care and comfort we aim to provide to both clients and clinicians.
