Hi everyone! My name is Gabby Tenaglia. I am a college intern working on the media projects at Montgomery County Counseling Center. I am very excited to be a part of the MCCC team to continue growing our social media pages and our newsletter. This new age of technology can be exciting but also overwhelming. I am grateful I get to bring the values of MCCC to light on these new platforms.
“Social media has changed the way we all process information and view ourselves. Having a safe space online to access mental health resources and advice is precisely what many of us need to help us know how to check in with ourselves and others.”
Education and Experience
I currently attend the University of Maryland where I study communications and sociology. I previously worked on social media marketing in high school as a part of a local Best Buddies chapter. Here we helped students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). My hope for after college is to continue to work in the marketing and media field.
I have been an avid yogi for nearly seven years now and am currently completing my yoga teacher certification. I look forward to bringing my love of the practice to other people soon. When I am not on the mat or attending school/work, I love to soak up as much time outside in the sunshine as possible, including many nights around a fire pit with friends. I am a big foodie and enjoy baking up a sweet treat and watching any form of reality television I can get my hands on! I am also a big fan of pop culture and look forward to attending many more concerts in the future. Most of all, I enjoy a simple weekend night with my family and friends creating timeless memories.
